How do I send and save documents via WhatsApp?

WhatsApp allows you to send documents to your contacts, just as you would send media, contacts or a location.


Note: Sending a document is only available for users on iOS 8.0 and above. The maximum allowed file size is 100 MB.

To send a document

1. Open the chat window in WhatsApp with the contact you would like to send the document to.
2. Tap the Send Media button.
3. Tap Share Document to send a document.
4. Choose a document from your iCloud Drive or tap More for more options.

To save a document
1. Open the document from the chat.
2. Tap on the icon.
3. Select the option you like from the list.
